A taproom first — a few words on the house

We opened in 2017 as Snowpack Taproom — a craft beer bar with 32 rotating taps and live music on weekend nights. The brick-oven pizza came later, because we wanted the food to be as good as the beer. It is. But the heart of this place has always been the bar, the taps, and the hang.

Conifer's grown a lot since then. We're a highway town, so we get a steady stream of new faces walking through the door — and a wonderful, growing crowd of regulars who are raising kids. We love that. A huge number of our favorite people are parents, and their kids are some of our favorite people too.

But we've had to get clear about something, because it protects everyone: Snowpack is a working bar first. Our team moves across the floor all night with hot pizzas, full trays, and glassware, and we sit right off Highway 285. So we've written down a couple of house rules — kids stay with their party, dogs stay off the floor — and laid out exactly how we handle it when they're ignored.

None of it is about keeping anyone out. We could go 21+, like plenty of bars do. We don't want to, and we never have. Snowpack is and always will be Conifer's place, all ages welcome at the table — and these rules are simply what keeps it that way.

The whole thing lives on The House — give it a read, and thank you, as always, for looking out for the room.
